TVUSD Retirement Benefits: Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS)

TVUSD provides eligible employees with retirement benefits through the Arizona State Retirement System (ASRS), which offers a fixed monthly benefit upon retirement. All employees working 20 or more hours per week for at least 20 weeks per year must contribute to the ASRS Retirement Plan. Both TVUSD and the employee contribute to this plan throughout the employee’s years of service.

ASRS is a retirement system offering long-term disability, retiree health insurance, and lifetime pension benefits. Serving Arizona’s educators, municipal, and state government employees for over 70 years, ASRS supports over 650,000 members, including more than 175,000 retirees.

Getting Started with ASRS
Once eligible, TVUSD will begin (or may have already begun) deducting contributions from your paycheck for retirement. If you haven’t registered yet, please complete your ASRS registration to secure your account and access online tools where you can:
